There are big changes happening at Sierra Aviation in 2024

In 2005, my business partner, Larry Haight, and I opened Sierra Aviation. We had an excellent partnership and shared a common goal of training students to fly safely and with precision and excellence. After 19 years of flight instruction, airplane rental and training hundreds of students to fly, Sierra Aviation will be closing its doors as a flight school by the end of 2024 so that I can retire. In the coming months, Sierra Aviation will be finishing up its present students and still be offering discovery flights and flight reviews. Once I close the doors, I will still be available to train those who have their own aircraft so I guess I should call it my semi-retirement.

Sadly, this means we are unable to take on new students or accommodate the many people we have on our waitlist. To all those who have been patiently waiting, I’m sorry that Sierra Aviation will not be able to train you.

As a result of these upcoming changes, Sierra Aviation’s three Cessna 172s are for sale. Please click on the link “Our Aircraft” if you are interested. There you will find specific information about each aircraft for sale.

Thank you,

Paul Dwyer CFI
